Motor Age Magazine is a trade publication serving the automotive mechanical service industry. Wherever there is a community, there'll be certain expectations of acceptable behavior among its participants. 

Please bear in mind that this is a privately owned Web site. Any and all security measures will be taken at the sole discretion of the site's administrators and/or owner. All material contained on this site is copyrighted and/or licensed by our parent company Advanstar Communications and subject to all reprint and distribution policies and protected U.S. federal copyright law.

* We reserve the right to not publish any blog submission deemed inappropriate by the editorial staff. Reasons for denial of publication include but are not limited to:
1. The message is not in English.
2. The message is unreadable.
3. The message contains illegal, offensive or abusive language.
4. The message does not pertain to the article topic.
5. The message is a commercial sales pitch for a product a product or service with which they hold a personal or business relationship.

* Flooding is forbidden on the Motor Age site. Repeated blog submissions that are in violation of user policies will result in placement on our ban list. The term of the ban is no less than one day, up to and including permanent restriction.

* Threats to the security of the site or our server are strictly forbidden, as are threats to the staff and other readers, including but not limited to, computer systems, personal life, and any other threats of an illegal nature. Threats will result in an immediate ban from blog submissions. If warranted, transcripts will be turned over to authorities for prosecution.

* Publication of personal information of staff members or other readers without their consent will not be tolerated in any form, including but not limited to, name, address, phone number, IP address, medical history, Web site URL, e-mail address(es), etc. Violation will result in a permanent ban from blog publication; in addition, transcripts may be turned over to authorities for prosecution.

* Stalking of others, in any form, is a serious offense. In many areas, this behavior is considered to be a criminal act. We reserve the right to release information to the proper authorities resulting from a violation of our Terms of Service; a violation of local, state or federal laws; a subpoena; and if the administration of the site deems it necessary or appropriate. 

* Discussions that violate state or federal laws are prohibited. This includes but is not limited to, child pornography, abuse of minors, racially slanted propaganda and hate crimes, threats to governments or local officials, threats to the general public. We reserve the right to release all pertinent logs, conversations, messages, etc., to the proper authorities in the event of a violation. As a user of this site you agree to the recording of these transcripts, as well as their potential release as deemed appropriate by the site owner. 

* For your own safety, we encourage blog participants to not release personal information, user names or passwords to others online.
