Backfire: A Fix For Syntehic Fluid Breakdowns

Your recent Backfire about synthetic brake fluids was great (September, November 2007), but after 10 years of racing we found that synthetic fluids break apart at high heat and pressure and do not go back to a normal fluid state when cooled down, resulting in very bad brake pedal.

Because on Feb. 8, 2008, at approximately 2 p.m. on a bright and sunny winter day, our industry lost an icon. A few of us, if we're very fortunate, have someone like Stan in our lives; someone who recognizes the talent within and helps us to develop that gift, thereby changing our lives forever. Stan Stephenson was one of those individuals, and I was lucky enough to cross his path.
