Actron® has launched www.repairpath.com, a comprehensive, easy-to-use online resource for automotive diagnosis and repair. The site, according to the company, is user-friendly, demonstrates repairs using photographs, diagrams and illustrations and provides simple step-by-step instructions for a variety of automotive repairs, in addition to easy to understand definitions of automotive technical jargon.

Subscription-based repairpath.com teaches the theory behind vehicle components and empowers users to perform more involved maintenance activities and expand their knowledge of automotive repair. Simple replacement instructions, locations of components and how to test them, how to change basic car parts, and describing the tools needed to make the repair are just a few of the site’s capabilities, including diagnosing and replacing sensors and computerized components on a vehicle.

Shilpi Biswas, director of Marketing & Product Development Aftermarket Diagnostic Group says,  www.repairpath.com completes the repair process for the automotive DIYer by providing a comprehensive source for the interpretation of trouble codes and detailed instructions for replacement and repair.

All Actron and AutoXray® tools will be packaged with a code that grants users free access to the “Repair Assistant” which includes specifications, maintenance intervals, labor, which provides a timeline as to how long the repair should take, as well as removal and installation procedures.

Users can choose to upgrade their subscription to premium areas of the site to include the Diagnostic Assistant, Component Locator, Technical Service Bulletins, Wiring Diagrams and a special reference section for Fluids. Flexible and affordably priced, subscriptions are $3.99 for two days and $14.99 for one-year access.

“Whether an experienced automotive DIYer, or a novice, www.repairpath.com can be utilized to help improve a vehicle’s performance, gas mileage and save users money on repair work,” adds Biswas.
