A/C poor perfomance 2005 Ford 500

have a 2005 Ford 500 in the shop that after several minutes of idle the A/C blows warm air.The freon was ck'd and measured and is not low or overfull. At idle guage readings confirm vent temp readings are 70 lowside 165 hi side.Condenser fans are functioning normally and there are no fault codes present. If rpms are raised or the vehicle is driven A/C blows cold 36 deg. suspected a problem with the expansion valve changed it,with no improvement.Any thoughts on this condition? AL

Increasing truck fuel capacity can pay for itself

We've seen some fairly broad swings in fuel prices over the last year or so. That simple fact alone means there are several good reasons for increasing the fuel capacity of a diesel pickup. With a larger tank, a customer can shop around for the best price on fuel, and saving a few extra cents per gallon can really add up over time, even offsetting the cost of the tank.

Thanks to on-board diagnostics (OBDII) standards, each scan I used tool had access to the same information regardless of the nameplate on the car, using the Global OBDII selection on the tool's menu. It's a huge endeavor, so checking carefully to see if there are other possible causes for the problem can be a great timesaver, too.

Examining crank/cam sensor errors and their diagnoses

Engine need air, fuel and spark to start, and they must be correctly timed. But when either the crank position sensor or the cam position sensor is lost, the ECM may shut down ignition, injection or both. But codes typically set and extended cranking may be required. So understanding the relationship between the signals is as important as the signals themselves.
