In 1972, Larry’s Bug Shop remanufactured VW Air Cooled Engines but soon added complete VW repair and service.  Now, Larry’s AutoWorks is a culmination of three former specialty shops that serviced German, Japanese and American vehicles.

The 15-bay shop features Master Certified techs and managers, and each tech completes more than 50 hours of upgrade training per year.  All staff members attend workshops during the year, many in-house. Several employeesalso  are Accredited Automotive Managers.

The shop considers, which is majority owned by women, itself a customer-focused organization, providing the proactive services and undertaking client education regarding the benefits of proactive and science-based maintenance practices. During each visit the vehicle is fully inspected and a written report is created, including the condition of all fluids, wear items and electrical functions. These reports are based on scientific and industry standards and detail any items that should be done before the next scheduled visit. The company also offers discounts to its “Preferred Customers” who make their next appointment before they leave.

Additionally, Larry’s actively supports many community activities, including sponsorship of a Little League team, donating and assisting in the Library Foundation Fundraiser and co-sponsorship of the yearly Moonlight Run for charity.
