Yokohama tire dealers to gain publicity through pigskin promotions

With another football season set to kick off, Yokohama is offering a variety of dealer and consumer promotions tied to both the professional and college gridiron ranks.

The company’s pigskin sponsorships are focusing on the National Football League’s Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens along with two high-visibility college teams – the University of Southern California’s Trojans and the Bruins from the University of California at Los Angeles.

The “Home Team Pride” jersey promotion begins Aug. 29 and runs through Oct. 17.

Dealers in proximity to the particular markets offer free, official replica team jerseys to each customer who buys four Yokohama tires. The company will also have signage, product displays and events at the stadiums, plus radio and television spots, presence on the teams’ Internet sites and newsletters, plus other corporate identifications.

“These promotions, including the Home Team Pride jersey campaign, have proven to be a big hit with our dealers and their customers,” says Shawn Denlein, Yokohama’s director of consumer products sales.

“America is ready for football season, and so are we. Once again the gridiron will help highlight our lineup of tires,” he reports, citing the ADVAN, S.drive, PARADA, Geolandar, AVID and dB Super E-spec.
