 Toyo is introducing new sizes for several lines of its car and light truck tires. Beginning with the recently released Extensa HP high performance value tire for sedans and coupes, six new sizes have been added, including a 195/50R15, P195/55R15, 205/50R16, P215/55R17, P225/55R16 and P225/55R17. The Extensa HP lineup now has 16 sizes with fitments ranging from sport compacts to performance cars such as the Mazda RX-8 and Acura TL. The company’s luxury touring segment features a new 205/65R16 size of the all season Versado LX for the Nissan Altima and Infiniti G35. “The premium tire uses Silent Wall design technology and multi-wave sipes for a remarkably quiet and comfortable ride,” says spokesman Jay Jones. The Proxes family of high performance tires gets new sizes for both cars and sport pickups. The low-profile Proxes 4 unidirectional high performance tire now includes a 265/25ZR24 size as part of its broad range of fitments ranging from 15- to 30-inch wheels. On the track, Nissan GT-R owners benefit from two new sizes in the Proxes R888; 285/35ZR20 (100Y) and 315/30ZR20 (101Y), according to Jones. These are the first R-compound replacement tires for the new GT-R. For sport pickups, the Proxes STII high performance lineup now includes a 10-ply LT285/50R22 size.
