SPX is hosting a free one hour Webinar next week to help technicians improve their diagnostics skills.

The Webinar will cover the Pegisys, graphing, bidirectional control, Mode 6, Direct Hit and scope usage. The Webinar is Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.

Topics covered in the Webinar will include:

Pegisys Scan
• Demonstrate entering a vehicle, cable selection, controller selection, and Global OBD II.

• Demonstrate test functions ASDTC, AST, Datastream, DTC, and Special Tests. Explain their useage.

• Demonstrate and explain Diagnostic Information. Access it through DTC screen.

• Demonstrate Direct-Hit Technician operation, subscription, and benefits.

Pegisys Overview
• Review kit contents (including Quick Start Guide CD and Manual contents).

• Explain the Pegisys User Interface theory of operation, “buttonology”, and Information bar.

• Review Pegisys hardware (USB ports, Ethernet port, Express Card slot, power button, charge indication LED, hard drive LED, vehicle communications LED).

• Review the On-Tool Help information system. Show and explain Release Notes.

• Review all scan tool vehicle cables. Show their proper use with OBD I and II vehicles.

Pegisys Scope
• Demonstrate scope setting and basic operation.

• Demonstrate scope pre-set meter testing, component test info, wiring diagrams, and more.

Pegisys Utilites
• Demonstrate registering the scan tool and changing registration information.

• Demonstrate the setup of wireless Access Point and Peer to Peer reset.

• Demonstrate the correct steps to dock and undock the VCI module.

Pegisys Vehicle Programming
• Review the vehicle reprogramming process using the Pegisys VCI and Windows™ PC.
