Cooper’s “Take the Money and Ride” rebate program is up and running through Oct. 31. Customers can get up to a $75 Visa card by mail when they buy a set of four qualifying tires.

“The feedback from both our dealers and consumers on the ‘Take the Money and Ride’ program has been very positive,” reports Hal Gardner, vice president of marketing at the company’s North American tire division.

“With that support, we’re excited about giving consumers yet another opportunity to take advantage of big savings on an assortment of select Cooper tires, including the newly launched Cooper GFE,” he says.

The company is supporting the rebate promotion with a national television advertising campaign that includes sponsorship of the ABC Halftime Show and local radio spots along with dealer point of sale materials such as posters, tire inserts, window decals and counter card entry forms.

The lineup of eligible tires is:

• The Lifeliner GLS (45,000- or 60,000-mile warranty) is an all season touring tire designed for customers looking for touring performance in a moderately priced tire.

• The GFE (60,000-mile warranty) is a new premier low-rolling resistance tire designed to maximize fuel efficiency.

• The CS4 Touring (60,000- or 80,000-mile warranty) is a premium luxury tire designed for all season traction without sacrificing performance. It’s available for a wide range of vehicles including cars, minivans, small SUVs and crossovers.

• The Discoverer CTS (70,000-mile warranty) is a premium luxury touring tire designed to deliver higher levels of wet traction, ride comfort and appearance for today’s upscale SUVs and CUVs.

• The Discoverer ATR (50,000-mile warranty) is a premium all-terrain SUV and light truck tire designed as a replacement tire for drivers who want increased traction without giving up comfort features. It is available for SUVs, crossovers, light trucks and some vans.

• The Discoverer H/T (40,000- or 60,000-mile warranty) is designed for drivers looking for all season traction and a premium warranty in a highway touring tire. The H/T is available for SUVs, crossovers, light trucks and some vans.

• The Discoverer STT is a premium high-void off-road light truck traction tire designed for drivers who want the utmost in off-road traction.

• The Discoverer S/T is a premium all-purpose SUV/light truck traction tire that is a hybrid of three designs — all-terrain, high void and commercial traction.

• The Discoverer S/T-C is a premium all-purpose light truck tire that utilizes a special cut- and chip-resistant tread compound.

These two tires have limited availability through select retailers:

• The Response Touring is designed to provide a smooth ride without compromising on performance and quality traction.

• The Discoverer LSX (60,000-mile warranty) is an S-rated premium SUV tire that provides enhanced wet traction and all season performance for SUVs, crossovers, light trucks and some vans.
