Success of Cooper's fall rebate campaign results in spring offers

Cooper’s “Take the Money and Ride National Event” rebate promotion that it rolled out in the fall netted an “overwhelming response,” resulting in the company’s continuation of the program through the end of this month with a heightened lineup of eligible tires.

“The national event was designed to let consumers experience the quality and performance of Cooper Tire’s products firsthand,” reports Hal Gardner, vice president of marketing for North America. “With the support of our dealers, we are bringing the rebate program back in order to give a new set of consumers the same opportunity.”

Cooper is supporting the rebate effort with national television and radio advertising along with point of sale materials for its dealers including a poster, tire insert, window decal and counter card entry form. Customers can obtain a rebate form from their local dealer or download one at the company’s Internet site.

“Choosing a set of replacement tires should be a process the consumer is active in with his or her Cooper dealer,” says Gardner. “Our dealers are excited about the opportunity we are creating for them to engage new customers, and at the same time, giving more consumers who prefer Cooper tires a chance to take advantage of these savings.”

The lineup of eligible products for the spring “Take the Money and Ride” campaign includes:

  • The Lifeliner GLS (45,000- or 60,000-mile warranty) is Cooper’s all season touring tire designed for those looking for touring performance in a moderately priced tire. It fits cars – both foreign and domestic – requiring an H- or T-rated touring tire. Rebate offer: $25 off a set of four.
  • The CS4 Touring (60,000- or 80,000-mile warranty) is a premium luxury tire designed for all season traction without sacrificing performance. It’s available for a wide range of vehicles including cars, minivans, small SUVs and crossovers. Rebate offer: $40 off a set of four.
