Purolator Web site available in multiple languages

Source: Motor Age

Purolator’s current Web site, purolatorautofilters.net, can now be accessed in a variety of languages indigenous to North America. The addition of Canadian French and Canadian English, Mexican Spanish and Mexican English and American Spanish to the current Web site in English is expected to make the site even more customer-friendly.

“Whether it is a DIY consumer who has decided to change a filter on his vehicle to save some money in these tough economic times or the automotive professional who has a technical question, it’s always easier to understand when the communication is in a language that is familiar to you,” says Ramon Nuñez, Director of Filtration for Bosch, joint venture owner of Purolator Filters NA LLC.

According to Nuñez, “This is especially important because we want the customer to get the facts exactly right. Sometimes, the finer points get lost in translation. Setting up our Web site in different languages will ensure the accuracy of our communication.

“Customizing the Web site for users in the United States, Canada and Mexico also allows Purolator to provide each market information that is relevant and applicable to that market,” Nuñez adds.

Furthermore, by making the Web site more attractive to non-native English speakers, Purolator is expanding information about the usefulness of its products to consumers and repair shop personnel in even the more ethnic neighborhoods of Mexico, Canada as well as in the United States, Nuñez states.
