As part of Honeywell Consumer Products Group’s efforts to provide an array of training to aftermarket professionals at both the counter and in the bays, Prestone has just finished developing its cooling system course, entitled, “Passenger Car Coolants and Cooling Systems.” The course provides a basic overview of cooling system operations and components, but will also enhance the attendees’ knowledge of common cooling system failures, testing standards and more. Main topics covered in the 2.5 hour program include: • A breakdown of cooling system problems that can occur in the blocks, cylinder heads, radiators, pumps, thermostats and hose necks like cavitation, corrosion, pitting and solder bloom.
