Vegas unveiling highlights new Hankook all season tire release

Hankook has rolled out a new all season tire for the U.S. market. The unveiling took place at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.

“Hankook’s Optimo H724 provides a wide range of benefits to consumers without sacrificing performance for value,” says Bill Bainbridge, director of brand communications. “It is designed to deliver a safe and comfortable ride, all season traction and overall mileage that is normally associated with tires costing a lot more.”

Other benefits include improved handling and noise control, he notes. “Additionally, the Optimo H724 provides an environmentally responsible option for consumers, offering longer mileage performance.”

The tire has been developed utilizing Hankook’s Kontrol Technology with heightened durability, according to Bainbridge. “This is achieved through a new carcass construction and wear resistant tread compound designed to improve longevity. The result is a strong yet lightweight tire, which maximizes vehicle fuel efficiency.”

The tread pattern minimizes the potential for hydroplaning, and it “tested well above conventional tire products for snow traction.”

It comes with UTQG ratings of 500 AB and a 70,000 mile limited treadwear warranty.

The tire will be available early next year in 38 sizes ranging from 13 to 17 inches.

Hankook currently serves more than 400 independent dealers in the U.S.
